Hive to home clearly know what they are doing, a few key details:
- if a contractor is removing a load bearing wall from your home make sure you see them build support walls on both sides of the wall being removed before beginning. This ensures that the load us being appropriately carried through the duration of the work until the opening is properly headered.
- Notice how they paint the walls with primer before taping the drywall seams. Drywall joint compound can be messy to work with, priming the painted surfaces before installing helps the joint compound adhere to the surface.
I love how there wasn't a single inch of wasted wall space. The cabinetry layout filled the space perfectly. And, when doing a remodel of a smaller kitchen like this, don't be afraid to spend an extra buck on the drawer base cabinets. When the square-footage is smaller you can really get some nice materials without breaking the bank. - Great job Hive to homes, keep up the good work.
